Match report In the regional (Essex/Suffolk) final of the National Village Cup, Worlington in Suffolk batted first and posted a total of 252 thanks to a fine 115 from opener R. Ford. Spinner Joe Joyce returned our best bowling figures of 4 for 44.

In our run-chase, we got off to a flying start but then lost 3 wickets for just 1 run and found ourselves perched on 49 for 3. And although Wayne Read (43) and Michael Fogg (38) batted superbly to pull our innings around and take us to 197 for 6, we just failed to reach our target and lost by 20 runs.
