Match report Don East was again the mainstay of the 5th XI's batting with a fine 32 and Zak Wilson (16 not out) and Ben Garwood (24) forged one of the best last wicket partnerships of the season (42) to enable us to reach 120 all out at tea.

In reply, Oakfield Parkonians got off to a shaky start until Teerah Diocee steadied their ship with 44 before being trapped lbw by skipper John Wilson. Ewan Day and Zak Wilson both bowled superbly to take 3 wickets apiece and despite a gallant effort by our 10-man team, we came up just short to lose by 2 wickets. A good, competitive game.

Our team included three generations of the Wilson family - Cliff, John and Zak and, at 66, Cliff is believed to be the oldest player ever to represent the club on the field of play. Bravo.
