Match report Batting first on the artificial strip at Thames Rugby Club, our 5th XI had Richard Waters (22) and the consistent Don East (21) to thank for posting a target of 130. In the run-chase after a delicious tea produced by Kim Wilson, the Wickford opener Janki Persaud stroked 64 not out to see his side home to a comfortable 6 wickets win. Richard Waters was the pick of our bowlers with 3 for 14 and Lee Ranson excelled in the field with 3 outfield catches.
