Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI v SOUTH OCKENDON HOSPITAL * on Sun 28 Jun 1987 at 2.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 1 Run
Match report
Only two Belhus batsmen reached double figures - Richard Waters (46) and Richard Wakely who rescued us with a fine 55 after we were perched precariously on 80 for 7. A total of 141 was an excellent score in the circumstances.
In reply after tea, South Ockendon Hospital were poised for victory with their score standing at 102 for 5, but young Grant Wiltshire produced a '5 for' and, aided by 2 run-outs, we scraped home to win by 1 run. An exciting match and the closest result of the season for our Sunday 2s.
