Match report At 120 for 6, it looked as though our 1st XI would bowl out Goodmayes for a modest total. But we let them off the hook as Cook (78) and Goddard (55) carved a 95 runs 7th wicket partnership to enable them to declare at 219 for 8 from their allotted 45 overs. Mathew Lewis Snr clean-bowled each of his 5 victims.

In reply, we we were sitting comfortably on 132 for 3 but after Wayne Read's dismissal for 56, our middle order batsmen folded and our last 2 batsmen were run out. We were dismissed for 199 and lost by 20 runs. We really should have won this league match - we let it slip from our grasp - twice!
