Batting first on a hard dry pitch, Wanderers amassed 231 for 8 before declaring after 29 overs (this was a 35 overs match). Coming in at No. 9, Wanderers' batsman Bryan smashed 50 in just 6 overs including 5 sixes. Gary Plane produced a magnificent spell in taking 4 for 29 from his 7 overs, but our other bowlers were dispatched to all parts.

In our reply on this very hot day, only Mark Winter (45) was able to produce a score as four of our batsmen were dismissed for 'ducks' and we subsided to 95 all out. And we then retired for a glass of Mount Gay rum.
