Shortly after their slender last-ball victory over Horndon on the Hill CC, Belhus U15s were engaged in another close call, this time in the short-lived Thurrock Youth KO Cup at Herd Lane, Corringham. This event was mirrored on the long running (now defunct) Thurrock KO Cup which was based on sixteen eight-ball overs per side.

Belhus started their innings with gusto, as Nick Marns and Matthew Vallis put on 80 for the first wicket, at which point Vallis was dismissed. 23 runs later, Marns made his way back to the pavilion though Tom Thompson saw Belhus through to the final of the competition where they faced Orsett at the neutral Stanford Recreation Ground.
