The 1977 season was a very busy year if you were a junior member of Belhus Cricket Club at the time. This was the first fixture in a "Colts week" at Belhus Park, which saw us play cricket every day from Monday 25th July until Friday 29th July. All games started at 2.30pm, which was the normal start time for 'afternoon' matches in this era.

In addition to the "Colts week", just two weeks later, the club embarked on its first youth tour of Sussex, all these matches are recorded elsewhere on this website (See "Youth Tour" fixtures for 1977).

The first "Colts week" or "junior cricket week" fixture was against a very strong Clayhall team. Clayhall were later to merge with Hainault and Chigwell CC, to form Hainault and Clayhall CC.
