Belhus made the long westbound journey from Eastbourne in East Sussex to Middleton on Sea in West Sussex. The effort was more than worthwhile; the facilities were lavish and Belhus were able to arrest the string of three previous defeats that they had encountered on this tour so far.

The next day's fixture was cancelled by our opponents, so the first ever Belhus youth tour drew to a premature end.

Belhus eventually returned to the Middleton Sports Club exactly thirty years to the very day, (in 2007) when another generation of young Belhus tourists returned to the ground.
