In this League match on a hot and sunny Saturday afternoon and blessed with a good batting track, Bill Taylor hit a fine century (113) and Vic Davies (31) and Dave Hewitt (22) chipped in to take our innings total to a respectable 223.

As usual, we ate all of the cakes at teatime, and then proceeded to bowl out Great Baddow for 105 as Bob Clarke took a '5for' helped by good fielding (Mark Winter took 3 catches behind the stumps). At one stage GB were 29 for 5. We also bowled 15 no-balls.
