The 1st XI put 197 for 5 on the board thanks to 71 from opener Denis Reed and 83 not out from Bill Taylor (both hit 3 sixes and Reed hit a six off the first ball of the match). And from 37 overs, Hainault & Chigwell were unable to bowl one single maiden over.

After tea, we skittled out H & C for just 73 to win comfortably by 125 runs with Robert Clarke and skipper John Rowell taking 3 wickets apiece. Well played Belhus.
