The Belhus tour fixtures were alternated between Kent and East Sussex and therefore the Wednesday match, sponsored by Mitchells, took place at the superb ground at Tenterden. The home side won the toss and invited the tourists to bat first on an excellent surface and first class outfield. The Belhus batsmen took full advantage of the favourable ground conditions. A permanent cloud cover did not affect the batting performances. With a compulsory retirement mark of 30 being used at this match, three tourists reached this milestone. Twins Henry and George Benson cashed in to reach the limit, with opener Henry hitting five fours in his innings of 31, while George, batting at number four, hit one boundary fewer, finishing on exactly 30. Later, Zak Wilson traded almost exclusively in fours, hitting no less than seven of them, while a further two runs brought about his enforced exile from the crease. Joshua Reynolds hit five fours in a supporting innings of 28 as Belhus posted a formidable target.
After the break, Wilson (1-4) and Jude Ranson (2-24) removed both home openers inside the first four overs as the batsmen contributed just one run between them, but number three Clayson struck seven fours in reaching 31 not out. However, no other home batsmen were able to reach double figures. Jamie Fairweather was outstanding with the ball. His persistent accuracy earned him bowling figures of 3-10 from three overs, which included one maiden. Reynolds returned 2-7, also from three overs.
This match was also played on a 12-a-side basis, with Eathan Morris and Tyler Kohl guesting for Tenterden CC for the day.
