Match report The 1978 season for the 1st XI saw 12 matches lost out of a total of 40 played - not too bad. There weren't any particularly notable performances with the bat or ball, but after more than 15 years of trying, we won the Thurrock & District Knock Out Cup after beating Thames Board Mills CC in the Final held at the Pegasus Club in Corringham (for full match scorecard see our website FIXTURES/RESULTS and the entry for 14th July).

It was also the year when all 10 wickets were taken in a match by one bowler - unfortunately not for Belhus - but against us. It was Jim French for Ardleigh Green CC 14th July - 10 for 53 was his tally. Well played sir.
