INGATESTONE* v Belhus Cricket Club Midweek 1st XI on Mon 29 May 1978 at 2.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Lost by 1 Wicket
Match report
Belhus bored the pants off the opposition in scoring just 130 for 7 from 46 overs. On the small village ground, all was but lost when Ingatestone were comfortably perched on 91 for 3 - until we managed to take 6 wickets for 12 runs to get back in the hunt as they slipped to 113 for 9. But the last wicket put on 18 runs to see their team home to a 1 wicket win. Well played Ingatestone. Robert Clarke took 5 for 46 - all of his victims were clean-bowled.
