Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI v 4th Essex OCA on Sun 06 Jun 1976 at 2.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 8 Runs
Match report
It was a slow batting display by the 2nd XI before they went in to tea with a total of 125 for 9 from 41 overs. And suitably refreshed, Bob Garner and Robert Clarke cleaned up the wickets between them by taking 5 for 40 and 5 for 18 respectively to take us to victory by 8 runs. And all of the 4th Essex batsmen were either bowled or lbw - proof that Belhus bowlers can occasionally bowl at the stumps! Excellent game.
