Match report Under skipper Don Pegler, the Club's first ever season in 1960 was quite satisfactory even though Don believed that an opening bowler was/is not the best player to captain a team. When to put yourself on to bowl and, perhaps more importantly, when to take yourself off, are difficult decisions to make and can have adverse consequences for the team and the outcome of a match. Don captained the 1st XI again in 1962 and 1972. The 1st XI's 1960 season finished:
