Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 1st XI v LANGDON HILLS* on Sun 06 Jul 1975 at 11.30am
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 7 Wickets
Match report
Langdon Hills 1st XI 235-7
Belhus 1st XI 236-3
An all-day game at Belhus Park. Langdon Hills scored a respectable 235 for 7 as Bill Taylor bowled 26 overs.
In reply, century partnerships were produced by Dick Bignell/Jim Donovan and Denis Reed/Andrew Standing and we won comfortably by 7 wickets. This was the highest run-chase (to this date) in the club's history, and the first occasion where three of our batsmen (Jim Donovan 67, Denis Reed 55*, Andrew Standing 54) all scored half-centuries. A fine win by Belhus.
