Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI v GREAT BURSTEAD* on Sun 13 May 1973 at 2.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 135 Runs
Match report
Belhus 2nd XI 167
Great Burstead 32 (Bill Taylor 9-15)
With 36, Bill Taylor was stop-scorer in our innings' total of 167 as Andrew Merton and Jim Reed supported with 27 and 20 respectively.
After tea, Taylor opened the bowling for us and ripped through the Great Burstead batting with a devasting spell that produced 9 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs to dismiss GB for just 32. Brilliant.
As at 2024, Bill's '9 for' is the second-best bowling performance in the club's history and his return is still the second-best best bowling analysis by a 2nd XI bowler. Well done Bill.
