Match report This was a keenly fought Sunday friendly against a strong Fondu side, that included a few of Belhus' own Saturday 1st Xl players. Fondu batted first and made 139 for 4 from 36 overs, with Robert Clarke steaming in from one end unchanged bowling 18 overs with 6 maidens and taking 3 for a miserly 39 runs.

In reply, Belhus fell just 4 runs short, with Mark Winter and John Rowell leading the way with 49 and 39 respectively and David Webb stroking 24 not out. Not to be outdone by Clarkie, Eric Dixon proved equally as tough to get away, bowling through the innings with 18 overs as Belhus fell just short of their target.
