Belhus Cricket Club Saturday 2nd XI v BLYTHSWOOD* on Sat 27 Jun 1970 at 2.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Lost by 4 Wickets
Match report
Belhus 2nd XI 148
Blythswood 2nd XI 149-6
Belhus batted first and posted a respectable total of 148 thanks to a swashbuckling 50 from our No. 10 batsman, Gerry Thompson, after we had been precariously poised on 85 for 8. This was the club record highest score by a No. 10 Belhus batsman until 4th September 1999 when Richard Dopson struck a magnificent 84 not out for the 2nd XI against Havering-atte-Bower CC.
After tea, R. Dellor stroked a fine 68 not out to steer Blythswood home to a comfortable 4-wicket win.
