Belhus Cricket Club Midweek 2nd XI v TILBURY* on Mon 29 May 1967 at 2.30pm
Match was Drawn
Match report
An all day game at Belhus Park. Chasing 198, Belhus were staring down the barrel when they found themselves in serious trouble at 62 for 9. But Bob Youg marched to the wicket to combine with Jim Graham and put on a partnership of 62 to see us through to the close of play. Brilliant.
Their club record 10th Wicket Partnership was held for 40 years until Ian Wright and Danny Chandler surpassed it with a stand of 73 on 22nd July 2007 against Dartfordians CC. But then in 2013 it was broken again by Roy Heffernan (135*) and Sam Hall (23*) with their astonishing unbroken 155 partnership against Myddleton House CC.
