Batting first, our 1st XI probably thought they had a winning total on the board when they declared on 148 for 5 after Denis Reed (45) and Keith Clayton (35) had led the way.

But after tea, Cranham had little difficulty in chasing down the runs as they reached their target for the loss of just 3 wickets. Well played Cranham.
