In their first match of the season, the 1st XI were in serious trouble at 36 for 8. But then Les Perry and Jim Reed combined together in a stubborn 8th wicket partnership of 61 to enable us to take our total up to 103 for 9 declared.

After tea, weand fielded superbly bowled out the 10-man Rontays team for 81 with Don Pegler taking 4 for 33 to win by 22 runs. Excellent Belhus!
