This was the 1st XI's final match of a very poor 1964 season. The Club fielded just 1 XI in 1964.

In batting first and making 145 (Don Pegler 47, Les Perry 31) we must have thought we could finish the season on a high note. But although we were looking favourites when Dagenham Trades were perched on 122 for 7, we couldn't quite budge their tail-enders and they shuffled home to win by 2 wickets. A good, close match though.
