Charlie Lewis was dismissed just one run short of a deserving century and in doing so joined a very small band of Belhus cricketers to have been felled for 99. Lewis faced 80 balls and struck twelve fours and five sixes. The main support came from Roy Heffernan with 26 as he and Lewis put on 92 runs for the seventh wicket, after Belhus had slumped to 124-6. Oxley, Turner and Futter each grabbed three wickets for the Mallards.

The home side started their innings aggressively, with Turner striking a fierce 114 from just 61 balls. Brown was similarly effective in making 47 inside an opening partnership worth 128 runs which effectively ended Belhus hopes of a second tour win. Although a fine catch by Dave Whisker from the bowling of Charlie Lewis (1-30) made a breakthrough, followed with a run out by Stewart Farr, Vauxhall were always in the driving seat as Dewan with 22 not out saw the hosts through to a comfortable seven wicket success.
Jim Banner picked up the wicket of Turner at a cost of 32 runs.
