Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI v Upminster on Sun 19 Jun 1960 at 2.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Lost by 2 Runs
Match report
This match was a 'Home' fixture played at Blackshots Playing Fields in Grays. By reason of the inconsistent pitches at this ground around this time, the club hired the pitch only very occasionally.
Batting first, Upminster totalled 122 all out as Albert Braybrook and our skipper Rex Wilson took 4 wickets apiece. After tea, we were always up with the clock in the run chase, but just couldn't quite make the winning line as we came up short by just 2 ruins. A good game though.
