Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 1st XI v Romford Casuals on Sun 31 Jul 1960 at 2.30pm
Match was Drawn
Match report
Romford Casuals 166-5 (Hayward 80)
Belhus 1st XI 71-7
Batting first, the Romford Casuals total of 166 was probably beyond the reach of our 1st XI and clearly the decision was taken to play for a Draw. Belhus' 71 for 7 after 39 overs at close of play suggests just that. In the 1960s a Draw was considered acceptable and honourable.
