STALLIONS TAMED BY WELLS

Ryan Wells struck a personal best score of 157 in this one-sided Essex Sunday League east division match at the Old Brentwoods ground. Wells smashed 21 fours and four sixes from 144 balls faced, to reach 1,000 runs for the season. Paul Bennett contributed 52 from 60 balls and hit seven boundaries, while Charlie Lewis crashed 43 not out hitting six fours and one maximum.

After tea, Belhus continued to dominate as the Stallions collapsed at the hands of Danny Norris, 4-39 from eight overs. Sam Hall picked up 2-14 while Matthew Williams, Paul Bennett, Sheraz Shahid and Mark Fogg collected one wicket each.
