Ockendon Academy pupil George Maidment achieved a hat-trick in this match at Clayhall Park, Ilford, on Saturday. Maidment went on to pick up seven wickets at a cost of just 24 runs. This was Maidment's first haul in excess of four wickets and is now the best ever Belhus bowling figures in a fifth team game. John Wilson and John Williams picked up one wicket each, though Chaudhry and Mir posted a challenging total for the hosts with 60 and 56 respectively. After the break, Mark Fogg struck his second half-century of his short career with 55 runs, while Wilson's willow yielded 41, Barry Ruck produced 28 and Andrew Williams saw Belhus over the finishing line with 25 not out.
