Match report Following the cancellation of the league fixture v Billericay, this friendly against fellow SNEL league opposition was rapidly arranged and a close and gripping encounter followed. Batting first Belhus openers East and Prendergast tok the score to 34 without loss after 16 overs. Steve Playle added a swift 15 before falling to a stunning catch. This brought Alder and Ruck together on 70 for 4 after 28 overs. No further wickets were lost as the score reached 137 for 4 after the allotted overs with Alder 17 and Ruck 32 not out.

In reply, the visitors lost 3 quick wickets before Mohammed took a liking to the seem attack and hit a quick fire 33. The return of opener Joseph Clarke (4 for 13 of 8 overs) reduced the reply to 95 for 8 and Belhus again looked favourites, however a fine 9th wicket stand from Kandeepaan and visiting skipper Glasse 20 and 28 not out saw Hainault and Clayhall home with 3 balls to spare
