Belhus maintained their 100% Shepherd Neame League division three record with a 40-run victory over Hutton at South Ockendon Recreation Ground on Saturday. Mudassir Mukhtar was the chief architect in keeping the Belhus record intact with a devastating spell of bowling from the St. Nicholas end. Mukhtar finished with 7-27 from 15.5 overs, six of which were maidens. Only Hutton's number three batsman Chris Payne managed double figures with 21. Keith Dhannie collected 2-18 from eight overs (one maiden) for Belhus, while the remaining wicket to fall was that of William Southgate, run out by Jim Banner throw which was relayed by John Forrest for a direct hit at the stumps.

Earlier, Tom Thompson led from the front with 29 in adverse batting conditions, while Banner hit 23. Dhannie struck 22 but Hutton fought back well, largely as a result of a 5-22 haul from third change Kishore Punwani.
