Belhus had to settle for a draw when they visited Chalkwell Park in the Shepherd Neame Essex League division two on Saturday. Leigh-on-Sea had invited their visitors to bat first although the charge to an impressive 221 after fifty overs was not in the home team's script. There was further woe for Leigh when they slumped to 87 for the loss of eight wickets, when stumps were drawn after 31 overs of their innings.
