Our number nine batsman, Roy Heffernan, struck an imperious 135 not out (in 71 balls) and, in so doing, set a new 10th wicket partnership record of 155 with Sam Hall, who was undefeated on 23. Roy's century came up in 54 balls one of the fastest in the club's history. Skipper Michael Fogg opened the batting with 59 runs to his name but the real fireworks began after Belhus had lost their ninth wicket with the score on 111.

In reply, Graham and Patel scored 60 and 23 respectively in an innings which saw nine catches taken by Belhus, four of them by Fogg. In the bowling stakes, Chris Baker took 3 for 3 from 1.3 overs, Madassir Muktar claimed 3-11 and Dan Norris returned 2-25.

In this 40 overs match, the astonishing unbroken 10th wicket partnership of 155 beat the previous record of 73 set by Alan Maidment and Danny Chandler against Dartfordians CC in 2007. And it was 40 years earlier, on 29th May 1967 against Tilbury CC, that the previous record of 67 was established - by Bob Young and Jim Graham.
