After a rain delay which extended the lunch interval, Belhus were held to 21 for the loss of four wickets by a strong Rayleigh attack. Grimwood was impressive with two wickets at a cost of just two runs for the host club, while Elisha Brett and Louise Kirby picked up one wicket each. Rhiannan Jefferies finished as she began the tournament, by dismissing Louise Kirby as opening bowler and conceding just five runs in the process. Rayleigh lost one further wicket, that of opener Lorraine Frost, who was run out by good work in the field by Libby Cansdale and bowler Lennox.
