Belhus edged home by just one run in a dramatic finish despite the rapidly fading light and heavy rain which began to fall over North Stifford on Monday evening (13th August). Orsett required just four runs to win from the final over bowled by Jack Martin-Hussey. They could only manage two runs as Belhus held their nerve. Earlier, Ben Kent and Sam Hall both reached the compulsory retirement score of 35 and they were supported by Craig Dalton with a confident 18 not out. But after the break, Tom Haden replied in kind with his own knock of 35 and Belhus knew that Orsett were serious contenders. Klay Smith gave valuable support with 25 until he was caught and bowled by Dalton (1-30). Pick of the Belhus bowling was Jake Wolfe with 2-19 from four overs while Zak Wilson supported well with 1-16 from two overs.
