Match report Ten men Belhus 5th XI, including league debutants Alfie Debono and Mark Fogg, travelled the short distance to Corringham Rec. Being asked to bat, openers Barry Ruck (31) and Toby Reynolds (26) took the score to 55 in the 15th over. 3 quick wickets saw Don East to the crease where he remained 38 not out at the end of the innings guiding the young 'tail' to a respectable total of 163 for 8 after 40 overs.

In reply, Stanford were soon in trouble at 7 for 3 with Josh Reynolds claiming 3-14. Some big-hitting from Thomas (24) and skipper M. Hasler accelerated the Stanford scoring. Enter Under 13 player Mark Fogg and his leg spin bowling which proved unplayable for the homeside's middle order as he returned career-best figures of 5 for 23 to become, at 13 years 164 days, the youngest Belhus bowler to take a '5 for' in a senior match.

Stanford were finally all out for 109 after 18 overs and our 5th XI secured a comfortable 54 runs victory.
