Harlow Town 5th XI v Belhus Cricket Club Saturday 5th XI on Sat 23 Jun 2012 at 1pm
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 6 Wickets
Match report
The homeside were asked to bat in this fixture at picturesque Coopersale CC's ground. Progressing to 45 for 2 after 11 overs, both wickets to Dan Wakeling, the homeside looked to be in a reasonable position. Enter Under 15 Joe Downes who in a 6 over spell returned the best ever 5th XI figures of 5 for 10. His accurate medium pace reducing the homeside to 61 for 8. A quick flourish from Kazmi at the end saw the home side all out for 78 in 25 overs with Toby Reynolds 2 wickets completing the efforts in the field.
In reply, openers Ruck (32) and T.Reynolds (19) took the visitors passed 50 in 8 overs. A mini collapse saw 4 wickets fall quickly before Steve Playle with a couple of lusty blows saw Belhus home.
