Five Belhus batsmen made good starts but they were dismissed after just 30.4 overs which gave the home side plenty of time to reach their target on Saturday. Earlier, Amit Gohil top scored with 34, while opening partner Dale Kenyon struck 26, as did Naveed Mirza. John Wilson contributed 18 while Belhus skipper Mike Squires was undefeated with 14 runs.

But the Billericay response was measured. Opener Sam Yates made the early running until he was caught and bowled by Robert Long for a well crafted 52. Then Ben McNally and Peter Mills saw Billericay home without further loss. McNally ended on 48 not out while Mills finished with two runs fewer.
