After a bright start from Belhus openers Mark Sansom and Chris Baker with 47 and 48 respectively, followed by a supportive 28 from Jim Banner and 14 from Roy Heffernan, the visitors to the Dick Patmore Memorial Ground on Saturday suffered a middle order misfire. But the tail wagged as Imran Mohammed hit a valiant 19 not out and Luke Clements struck a dozen runs. Lee Stace was the main thorn in the Belhus side. He claimed 4-38 for Wickford from eleven overs which included four maidens, then smashed an undefeated match winning knock of 55. With the help of of 56 not out from Chris Hammond, Wickford gained a comfortable seven-wicket victory.
