Belhus had to settle for a hard-fought draw in a game dominated by two bowlers and two batsmen. Billy Winter picked up a personal best return of 6-65 for Belhus in 12.5 overs. His scalps included Wickford's big hitters Tanvir Alam and Robert Rollins, who struck 69 and 93 runs respectively.

After tea, it was the turn of Shabaz Iqbal of Wickford who picked up five wickets at a cost of 34 runs from seven overs (two maidens) at the Dick Patmore Memorial ground. For Belhus, Wayne Read top scored 51 while Gavin Jefferies hit 27 and Joe Joyce 20.
