Gavin Jefferies hit his fourth half-century in six appearances for the Belhus first eleven this year and then picked up two wickets but it was the Old Boys who came away with the spoils after a slender two-wicket success. Jefferies' knock of 64 came from 128 deliveries in unfavourable batting conditions, but managed to hit five fours in the process. He put on 69 for the second wicket with Joe Joyce (40). Michael Fogg hit 17, while the middle-late order flourished through Martin Guilbert, 21, while Billy Winter and Jamie Riley were both undefeated at the 50-over limit with 16 and 11 runs respectively. Matthew Austin and Liam Henrickse picked up two wickets each for the visitors.

In the post-tea session, Hendrickse continued to be a thorn in the Belhus side with a fine 53 from 63 deliveries; he hit seven boundaries. Then Aaron Lucas hit 56 from 81 balls faced followed by 30 runs from Adam Hunt, but both batsmen were dismissed by Gavin Jefferies (2-25 from 5.4 overs). But Christopher Guy and Michael Bunce held their nerve to finish undefeated and victorious with eleven and two runs respectively. Belhus paceman Riley continued his good form of late with an impressive five-wicket haul at a cost of just 24 runs from ten overs (one maiden).
