Belhus Cricket Club Won by 39 Runs

Match report Belhus being asked to bat started brightly enough moving quickly to 30. However wickets then tumbled due to a fine continuous spell from Ashraf who claimed 5 wickets. As the rains came the home side lost their last wicket on 87 after 26 overs.

An abandonment was on the cards but the sun returned and by 5 O'clock play resumed. Thanks to a tremendous spell of bowling from 14 year olds Jack Martin Hussey and Sam Hall with 3 and 4 wickets respectively, Basildon & Pitsea never recovered from being 6-4 and eventually lost their finally two wickets to Scott Stoneham and suffered a most unlikely defeat.
