Belhus Cricket Club Under 13A v Rayleigh on Sun 23 May 2010 at 9.30am
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 42 Runs
Match report
This was a day for the batsmen, under a scorching sun only 5 wickets were to fall in the 40 overs.
Belhus batting first saw their top order score constantly with both Mathew Lewis and Jake wolf having to retire once their scores had reached 30. Sam Hall fell to a catch on the boundary for 26, one of only 2 wickets to fall and Mason Ruck hit a quick 28.
In Reply the visitors opening partnership of 72 from Luke Keeley(27) & Steven Lynch (30) showed how the wicket appeared to be favouring the bat, however, this took 15 overs and resulted in the target being just that bit out of reach.
Tight bowling from Jack Martin Hussey (3 overs for 6) kept the run rate down and a spell of 3 overs 2 for 7 from Craig Dalton saw the homeside victorious and through to the next round of the competition
