The home side made light work of dispatching Belhus for a nine-wicket Shepherd Neame Essex League victory at Southchurch Park on Saturday. Opener Sayers and number three batsman Austin both made an undefeated 53, while the one wicket to fall was that of Lock, bowled by Mathew Lewis for seven runs with the score on 34. Earlier, the Belhus scorecard was very uneven, with seven of the team scoring just six runs between them. James Banner top scored with 40, opener Michael Cansdale made 31, Ryan Wells hit 26 and Owen Jefferies mustered 17. For the Old Boys, Chris Sorrell took 4-54 from 19 overs, six of which were maidens.
