Last week, Belhus won a league game by just one run, this week they again had everyone's nerves jangling with another astonishing performance as they defeated Billericay by just 2 runs in the 50 overs per side Shepherd Neame League match. Belhus were again on form with the bat as Gavin Jefferies hit 79 while Billy Winter finished with 64 not out and Dale Kenyon was undefeated on 35. Nick Butler emerged as the visitors' best bowler as he served up three wickets at a cost of 33 runs.

After tea, Stuart Hynes struck 62 and Butler completed a fine all-round performance with 56. For the home side, Roy Heffernan bagged 2-37 from seven overs of spin, while Rob Joyce, Luke Clements and Winter took a wicket each. Crucial to the Belhus cause were four excellent run outs, two by Heffernan, plus one each by Joe Joyce and Clements.
