Belhus paceman Dale Kenyon is beginning to delevlop into something of an all-rounder after this latest showing on Saturday. He struck a fine 33, then claimed 3-59 from 13 overs (one maiden), but could not stop Belhus sliding to eventual defeat in the Shepherd Neame Essex League. Joe Joyce hit 57 valuable runs for Belhus, and he received valuable support from Richard Day with 40, Steve Huckstepp, 35 and Michael Fogg, 16 not out. After his back-to-back hat tricks in two previous league outings, Ricki Ellis returned more modest figures of 0-44 from ten overs on the usual batsman's paradise of a pitch at North Stifford. West Essex reached their target through number four batsman Nazir who hit 69 and Gareth Jenkins who struck 52 which included ten boundaries as these two put on 93 for the fifth wicket. The partnership was finally broken by Luke Clements (1-39).
