Many bowlers will never perform the feat of taking a hat-trick in a lengthy career, so the remarkable achievement of Ricki Ellis in taking three wickets in three balls for the second successive Saturday will probably be remembered by him forever.

Ricki's heroics last week were performed for the club's second eleven. This latest achievement occurred on his resultant elevation to the club's first eleven - and Ellis did not disappoint. He took five wickets within ten deliveries as Belhus blazed back into form at the Old Brentwoods Society sports club. Richard Day hit 60 for Belhus and he received valuable support from Gavin Jefferies (22), Danny Norris (23), Bradley Walker (24) and Billy Winter (26). After the break, the home side were thoroughly dismantled by Ellis, who finished with figures of five wickets at a cost of just four runs from 4.3 overs as Belhus secured a comfortable win by 122 runs.
