Belhus fought hard to retrieve a difficult situation after they had been cleaned out for a mediocre score at Woodford Green on Saturday. In fact their last six batsmen contributed just 20 runs between them. Earlier, Richard Day struck a good half-century while Bradley Walker hit 45. Danny Norris, drafted into the team from the seconds at short notice, equitted himself well by scoring 22. For the home side, Ali Muzaffar took 5-32 from 17.5 overs, his mammoth spell included two maidens. Belhus emerged from the tea break keen to do business in the field, and Belhus paceman Dale Kenyon soon got amongst the wickets with 4-36 from 10.5 overs. Like Belhus previously, Woodford also suffered a collapse, but through number three batsman Anthony Palmer's 66, the hosts edged home to victory.
