Match report The Under 13 side completed their league season with an enthralling game at North Stifford, which eventually saw the visitors get home with a 2 run victory.

Batting first, Basildon scored consistently to reach 104 for 2. McCloud top scored with a brisk 24 supported by Davies & Barnes both with 19. Only Mathew Lewis & Mason Ruck had any success with the ball.

In reply, despite losing 2 early wickets, Ben Kent steadied the ship with 11 then Mathew Lewis (25) retired and Jack Martin-Hussey (13) took the score to 80 for 4. Despite a sterling effort from jack Davison 17 not out Belhus ended their season 3 runs short of a victory.

However with every member of the team available again in 2010 the future looks bright for these youngsters.
