AFTAB MOHAMED CAREER-BEST IN RESOUNDING 2ND XI VICTORY:

Belhus 2nd XI 232-4 (Aftab Mohamed 130*)

Unsurprisingly, Stanford-le-Hope elected to bat first after winning the toss and thanks to David White's half century (75) were able to post 228 for 9 from the allotted 50 overs, perhaps a little under par it was thought.  0pening bowlers Tyler Robertson and James Maynard were the Belhus mainstays with 4 and 3 wickets respectively.

In the run-chase, openers Aftab Mohamed and Greg Mendham (26) soon showed the Belhus intent by quickly putting on 77 for the first wicket, leaving Aftab to take control of the match and carry his bat through to the required target with a commanding 130 and steer the 2nd XI home to a convincing 6-wicket win in 40 overs.

It was the Club's highest individual score of the season and a career-best for Aftab.
